Exciting projects, great team spirit and flexible working conditions – that's what working at Storymaker is all about.
We believe that every employee has their own strengths and qualities – and that that's a good thing. From networkers to filmmakers, from journalists to social media experts: Our team is eclectic. What unites us is our love of good stories, curiosity about new topics and challenges, dedication, and a respectful attitude toward customers, service providers and colleagues. Energetic team players with a passion for storytelling – That sounds like you? Then we might just be the right fit for you!
You're holding your employment contract in your hands, and then it's finally here: Your first day with us. We are just as excited as you are! Which is why, when you arrive, you won't just be greeted by a welcome sign at the entrance. We have reserved the time to pick you up from the back office and give you a tour of the agency. On your first day at work, you will be welcomed by your future colleagues, who will come to say hi and introduce themselves to you. And because we want you to feel at home with us right away, we will also tell you a lot about the agency on your first day: A brief outline of who does what, what to do in case of a fire alarm, and how the coffee machine works. You will also get acquainted with your fully equipped workplace, of course with an introduction to how the technology works and which software tools we use. So there is a lot of new ground to cover, but don't worry: After a few months, you will know us, your role and your tasks very well.
Every person who joins our team has a designated contact person for the first few months.
For trainees and master's students, we have a separate coordination office on top of your mentor, which will always have an open ear and provide you with feedback. Every Wednesday, there is a "pretzel breakfast" – an informal get-together with stories about this and that. Here, your colleagues are eager to hear your story: Who are you?
Now you can get started. Your team leader will introduce you to customer projects and discuss tasks. In the first months, you will have a Tübingen story time with Storymaker founder Heidi. Björn will introduce you to our culture of innovation, and the other members of the management team will give courses in story conception, China marketing and project management.
After half a year at the latest, you'll have learned how our spaceship works and know your roles and tasks on board.
Ready for take off!
The German Institute for Sustainability and Digitalization and the DUP media have named us an "Employer of the Future". The golden seal stands for quality and modernity in management and culture. It is awarded on the basis of an external "Smart Company Check", in which the digital and sustainable current status is evaluated. The award, under the patronage of Brigitte Zypries, former Federal Minister of Economics, is presented to companies of different sizes and from different sectors.
We are looking for communication professionals – and those who wish to become one. To us, enthusiasm for our customers and their topics is more important than professional experience. That's why we offer two different training programs for career starters and industry newcomers:
Duration: 18 months with internal workshops and external basic training (followed by an exam)
Requirements: university degree
We are very interested in a long-term working relationship and we all pull together, which is why all our contracts are open-ended.
We invest in the further training of our employees. Not only does every colleague take part in numerous internal training courses, once a year they can attend two days of further training with an external provider. We bear the costs!
We offer all employees, without exception, a basic vacation of 28 days, which increases by one vacation day every ten years after the age of 30.
No one has to start at 8:00 a.m. with us. According to customer requirements and taking into account the core working hours (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), everyone is free to schedule their 40-hour week.
Our employees can work from home not only in pandemic times. If you want, you can take four home office days a month. That way, you don't have to take a vacation day to open the door for the craftsman.
We don't want the family to miss out. That's why we've always found a solution when employees want to take a break to care for relatives or children.
Our agency thrives on WE - both in the teams and as an overall agency and across the locations. We also celebrate this regularly. We don't just celebrate ourselves at Christmas. Once a year, we close the agency and do something together.
People who look for an agency as an employer usually want variety. That's what we offer. We have many customers from different industries with very different topics and therefore always new, exciting projects.
A beautiful environment inspires and contributes to feeling good. That's why we offer every employee their own workspace, equipped with high-quality USM furniture and state-of-the-art work tools.
